Meet Patrick McDonald

Founder of Waterrock Construction, specializing in custom homes and select commercial projects throughout Western North Carolina.

Patrick holds a degree in Construction Management from Appalachian State University and since 2010 has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He has worked with large commercial firms in Asheville, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Nashville, building a foundation of technical knowledge and project execution across a wide range of project types.

In 2017, he obtained his Tennessee General Contractor license, qualifying him to work in commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Since then, he has successfully delivered custom homes, commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and multi-family projects.

Patrick now focuses on custom residential and select commercial projects throughout Western North Carolina, where he is also licensed as an Unlimited General Contractor.

Patrick is known for setting clear expectations upfront, maintaining strong relationships with trade partners, and communicating consistently throughout every phase of construction. He remains actively involved on-site, ensuring quality, solving problems quickly, and keeping projects moving forward.

In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor adventures, cooking, and spending time with his wife, two sons, and dog.
